Frequently Asked Questions

A place to rest, not a place to spend the day.
General Questions:

Why do we need this park?
Currently, we don't have any parks that allow everyone, of all abilities to play together.

Who is this park for?
EVERYONE

When will it be open?
As soon as we can get it built, we are working hard to make it happen very, very soon

Where will it be?
We hope to be able to make an announcement soon!

Why only one park?
It doesn't have to be only one park, but we have to start somewhere...Let's see where this journey can take us all, as we work together to make Inclusive Parks a reality in Indianapolis.

Why aren't there already parks like this here, and everywhere?
Isn't that a great question? It's also one we can't answer.

Funding:

Where will the money come from?
There are many places that funding for the park can come from, here are just a few:

Individual Sponsors - There are two options for individual sponsors:

If want to donate funds, where does the money go?
There are those who donate to our park, who help keep the lights on and the doors open. And every dollar is appreciated! An individual sponsor is just a bit more than that.

If I want to do more, what is an individual sponsor?

As an individual or group you could consider donating a special swing set, a sensory wall, or other apparatus to the park. When this happens, a plaque commemorating the donation will be placed on or near that piece, so that everyone visiting will know who to be thankful for.

Group Sponsors - Your group wants to help make a difference? We would be happy to accept that help! As group you could consider donating a special swing set, Rapsody Outdoor Music area, picnic area or other apparatus to the park. When this happens, a plaque commemorating the donation will be placed on or near that piece, so that everyone visiting will know who to be thankful for.

Corporate Sponsors - We love our corporate sponsors! Corporate sponsors are able to do more, and in so doing, really get us going and keep us going, faster than we thought possible.
